Privacy
The plain-English version first.
We collect as little as possible, we never sell your information, and if you email us we use your details to reply — that's about it. The formal version follows.
Who we are
Karn Media ("we", "us") is based in Washington, Tyne & Wear, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@karnmedia.co.uk.
What we collect
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. Our website does not use cookies for tracking and does not run advertising trackers. Our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
To reply to you, to provide services you've asked for, and to keep basic business records we're required to keep. We do not sell your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
Legal bases
Under UK GDPR: legitimate interest (replying to your enquiry and running our business), contract (delivering services you've engaged us for), and legal obligation (accounting records).
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails: as long as the conversation is live, plus a reasonable period after. Client records: for the duration of the engagement plus the periods UK law requires (typically six years for financial records).
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email hello@karnmedia.co.uk and we'll sort it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we add tools that change what we collect — such as analytics or a contact form — we'll update this page before they go live.
